Twenty minutes up the road.
A High Point shoot is a normal day for us, not a travel job. We have filmed homeowners in a house Wolfe Homes renovated, a hundred year old house with modern everything else, Train Tracks, a jazz festival honoring John Coltrane, for Phyllis Bridges, and a football recruitment documentary at Washington Terrace Park.
High Point Market.
Market runs twice a year and brings exhibitors into the same few blocks, all competing for the same walking traffic. The next ones are April 10 to 14, 2027 and October 23 to 27, 2027.
Booth video has about five seconds to be worth stopping for, and it has to work with the sound off.
That is a different build than a website video, and most exhibitors do not plan for it. The other thing most exhibitors skip is what happens after. You come home with a list of people who stopped at your showroom and send them a text email. The same shoot that produces a booth loop can produce follow up content, a website video and social cuts.
Filming should happen four to six weeks before Market. For an October Market, that means filming in late summer. More on what actually works for trade show video.
Furniture and manufacturing.
High Point is a manufacturing town and always has been. Furniture, textiles and the supply chain around both.
The problem in that world is the same one every manufacturer has. What makes a company good is visible on the floor and impossible to explain in a conference room. A buyer comparing suppliers on a spec sheet has no way to see the difference between careful work and adequate work. That is what a documentary video is for. More on manufacturing video.
What we make.
Documentary style video. No scripts, no actors, no staged shots. We sit down with the people who actually do the work and build the video around what they say.
Brand story, case study and testimonial video. Why a buyer should pick you, told by your people and your customers.
Recruiting and safety training video. Filmed on your floor or your site, so the people watching recognize where they are.
One shoot day, a year of content. A main video plus a dozen or more shorter cuts you can use for a year.
What a shoot day looks like.
We arrive mid morning and set up the interview space while the floor or the job keeps running. Interviews run about twenty minutes each, so five people takes under two hours. Then a few hours filming the work while it happens.
Out by mid afternoon. Nothing staged, nobody told where to stand, no line stopped for a shot.
The first question we ask.
It is not about video. What makes you different from the other companies doing what you do?
Most owners cannot answer that in a sentence, and that is not a failure. It is the finding. If four companies all say quality, service and family owned, the buyer picks on price because nobody gave him anything else to pick on. Figuring out the thing only you can say is the first part of every project.
Short version.
- Twenty minutes from Greensboro, no travel line item.
- Booth video gets about five seconds and has to work with the sound off.
- Film four to six weeks before Market. Next Markets: April 10 to 14 and October 23 to 27, 2027.
- The same shoot feeds the booth, the follow up, the website and social.
- We also film events, nonprofits and residential work across High Point.
Companies like yours, in their own words.
Questions we get asked.
When should we film for High Point Market?
Four to six weeks before Market, so there is time for revisions and getting files onto the showroom screens. For the October 2027 Market, that means filming in late summer.
What makes a good Market booth video?
It earns a stop in about five seconds and works with the sound off. A loop built for a website usually does neither.
Do you charge for travel to High Point?
No. High Point is about twenty minutes from Greensboro and inside our normal service area.
Can the same shoot cover the showroom and the plant?
Yes. One shoot day can produce a booth loop, follow up content for the people who stopped by, a website video and social cuts.
